Tues, Wed. and Thurs. 30th, 31st, 1st of 1998

Spent quiet days as Jo worked and Jim went to school.  Wed. Night Jim worked a party and Jo and I had Champagne to see the New Year in.

Jo and I spent the day together.  Jim went to school.  We checked the drugstore, Walgreen, bought some stationary and candy.  We went to Micheals got some embroidery thread and a dressy scarf and some pictures to make.  Ate lunch at Sonic.  Then Jo drove around the town.  Finally went to a section with a block of flowers.  I bought a dozen roses $7.95

Today we went to Galveston Island, saw the butterflies, the rain forest, and IMAX Theater.  The NutCracker.  Then went to Casey's Rest. and had supper.  I bought (50.00) since the kids have spent a lot on me.  Got home about 7:00 pm

This morning Jim and I went to the Ralache Factory and picked up coffee and sausage and egg and cheese and took them to Jo at work.  (Wang)  She took us a tour and the one room where she works are 23 computers.  14 people work there.  Someone has to be there 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Just Jo and Melvin was working today.  It was very interesting.

Jo and Jim went to work.  We are going this evening to see "A Christmas Carol"
  We went to the Alley Theater to see A xmas Carol.  It was good.  Really enjoyed it.

Xmas Day.  Santa came last night.  I got a nice sweater and pair house slippers.  Later today we talked to Susie and Nicole and Jane.  Then Nedra called and Jo set up 3 way calling, so we talked to Nedra, Greg, Brian, then Jane and Keith, again to Susie and Nicole and Herschel.  Spent the evening watching t.v.

Today I got up early and made cinnamon rolls for Jo to tak to work.  Making noodles, pumpkin pie, and jello salad today.   Tonight we went out by Sugar Land (Pecan Plantation Est) to see the xmas lights.  They were beautiful.  Santa in cowboy boots and hat with longhorn cattle pulling his wagon. Mother Goose being pulled by Geese.  Other traditional xmas scenes.

This evening we went out and eat.  Saw some xmas lights.  Jo called today, someone at work may be interested in the ranch.

Today Jo and Jim went to work when they got home Jim went out and got Chinese food.  Jo and I went Groc. Shopping.

Delta Air Lines

Margaret left for Houston to visit with Jo.  Left Knoxville 11:40 am.  Arrived at Atlanta.  Had an hour to change planes.  I was suppose to have a wheelchair and then they decided to transport me on a shuttle bus.  Made me late for my flight out.  Took the next plane 2 hours later.  Had to go to a different airport.  Clerk at airport called Jo and told her the change.  Got to Houston about 6:00 pm.

Adam and Yvonne came Nov 27.  Left 30th.

Herschel and Donna came for Thanksgiving.  Left Nov 29th.

Dorothy Lampert, Ruth, and CoCo stopped here to see us.

Picked up Peggy and we went to Happy Bills for breakfast.  Came back to the house, got my luggage and went to the airport.  The plane was a little late. Got to Knoxville at 5:09 pm.  Linda and Dale met me.

Sat around the house today.  Met Al, Pat and Don for supper at the Peacock.  Lawana also.

Ry's Bar

Had lunch at Teds with Florence today.
Went to Murphy's tonight with Pat, Peggy, and Lawana.   Craig joined us for awhile.

Made noodles for supper.  Brandi ate them.  Went to Bud's with Al.  Saw Rathy, Jeanette, and Janet.  Made more noodles.

Went to Taby's this evening, saw Ed, Marikay, Joan, Bob J., Don Walters and Jim Beagle.

Today Lawana had a luncheon for the Birthday club.  There were 7 of us.  Audrey was sick so she didn't come.  They were surprised.  We took Leta home then stopped to see Audrey.

Pat and Al picked me up today and we went to the peacock for coffee and soup.

Trip to Waukegan, IL Nov 3rd-9th, 1997

Arrived at O'Hare 11:34 am
Lawana and Bona was there to pick me up.  Got a porter and wheelchair to take us to the car.  We visited a while and hand lunch.  At 5:00 pm had an appointment with Dr. Gould.  He sure was surprised.  Had supper at I-Hop.  Went grocery shopping, came home and visited until 10:00 p.m. cst.  Called Al.  He is to pick me up tomorrow about 10:00 am for coffee.

Craig, Susie, and Nicole came to visit and left Oct. 29th.
